- General Description
- Fusion splicer used to join 2 fiber optic cables.
- Not as powerful as the Fujikura fusion splicer but simpler to use.
- Operating Instructions
- 1) Strip and cleave the ends of the two fibers you want to splice.
- 2) Place the two ends in the v-clamps on the splicer.
- 3) Close the hood (push the nob on the side forward)
- 4) Press the mode button to change the splicer to manual.
- 5) Using the arrows on the right to align the fibers. Press view to change the view and make sure the fibers are aligned on both axis.
- 6) Press the fuse button to do a pre arc to get rid of the dust on the fibers.
- 7) Press fuse again to splice the fibers together.
